Over the course of the last 15 years I have done a lot of videography work throughout the state of Utah and beyond. I have actually filmed in 13 states and two countries! The vast majority of my work however has been close to home, specifically I’ve done a ton of videography in Utah County.
Here are some of the trends that I’ve noticed along the way. People in Utah County love testimonials. Businesses there create a high number of testimonial videos because people like to hear authentic experiences of customers.
Utah County gets a reputation for being frugal. I don’t think this is a bad thing. It doesn’t always play in the favor of a small business owner, but it shows that people there are thoughtful and careful in spending their money. This means that they are not as interested in sponsored results in a google search. It also means that hearing powerful testimonials from a few people can really sway the decision making process for them.
What other kinds of videos do I make in Utah County?
I have filmed just about every kind of video that I produce in Utah County. I’ve made business overviews, product promotions, Google Business Profile videos, testimonials, explainer videos, live events, comedic videos, and even Wicca rituals! If you can imagine it, I’ve probably made it. I would also bet there are some things you’d never imagine that I have filmed.
The most common types of videography in Utah County that I’ve done though (other than testimonials) are weddings (back when that was something I did) and brand videos. Brand videos are great for websites, presentations, social media content and sometimes even ads! I hear people somewhat regularly tell me about they ways they are using their brand videos, and I love it!
